C.H help me!! cant remember the thread nor what site the discussion on RTYC was - where is it!! got info

RTYC - Royal Temple Yacht Club, founded in 1857 became a Royal Yacht Club 1858 with Queen Victoria as its Patron. In 1898 the Club moved to the Port of Ramsgate, Kent.

It got its name because it was based by the River Thames and was sited by the temple steps, where they used to sail from.

Bit of history for you all - Cant believe some of ya thought it stood for the Royal Torquay Yacht Club (which should say Torbay)

I agree with you Wavehumper -he should of stayed in UK and then Kids could of carried on with him!

Out of all the different schools I tried he was the only one willing to teach the Kids RYA level 1 and 2 in a SR7. What would the purpose achieve to teach them in a 5m Avon, when they drive SportRibs - the ride is so different. Come back Phil!! we need you!

Flat calm

I thought I could see Blackpool Tower from my office....but I suspect it was Sellafield!

Wonderful forecast for the weekend though...anyone coming over to the IoM can have the first beer on me.

I hope to be trialling a boat on Fri/Sat - hopefully a few more waves so I can see what the ride is like!
