Inflatable Boats Magazine

Erika has sent me a acouple of copies of each of the last few editions of Inflatable Boats Magazine to pass around so people can have a look and see what they think.

I'll bring them down to Littlehampton tomorrow, and leave some with someone Solent based to take to the Churchillian on Monday. If anyone else wants a look, PM me your address and I'll stick one in the post -- part of the deal is that you may then be called on to post your copy on to someone else!

Well Guys

I have had the opportunity to read / look through the Oct-Nov 2004 issue 2

I take my hat off to Erika for what she is doing cos our cousins from across the pond do not know much about ribs. However the issue I obtained is for sure more suitable for the US then for us over here

Interesting article about
RIBCRAFT LAUNCHES THE NEW RIBCRAFT 6.5

quote
Marblehead, Massachutes, September 2004 - RIBCRAFT, an innovative American owned designer and manufacturer of commercial grade rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for military, commercial and safety professionals has introduced the RIBCRAFT 6.5
Unquote

No mention of this being British - am I missing something or were the ribs also invented by our "cousins"

also 8 pages which lists inflatables , engines, liferafts a waste of good advertising space cos this info can be found even on the internet

The Galley is interesting but that must be typical for the US

very few adverts but then this is only the second issue

Can somebody send me a later issue please. This copy I am sending to Fred Bolton

Interesting article "Do you know what you're doing" All the photos are of commercial ribs so hopefully in later issues the private sector will be more visable

I've recieved my first copy from the states and have now finished with it.
If anyone wants it let me know

The price of outboards in the states makes interesting reading I'll be looking to see how much it would cost in freight if I ever needed a new one
