cheers biggles, i guess the thing that makes it quick for size is its weight, although i have not used it in the routh stuff as of yet to test the virtues of the flooded hull (extra weight)

the second being it is rather slim, this i suppose again removes weight but it also removes a lot of deck space (no side by side seating in a searider)

sorry NOS4 my last thread was aimed at you (helps to put names on dont it)

Yeah but no-one would be able to see it if I put a name on mine as it'd be too small

Were we doing 39 knots?! I wasn't looking at the GPS.I don't think I was at WOT then either.

Still had 1000rpm to go, but outlaws were starting to look a bit twitchy in the back, so stopped at that.
Update.
50.2kts yesterday - full fuel load & 5 up.
Still more to be had out of it though...

with most of the fuel burned off, 70+mph, got more, saving it for a kilo run, which is 67, they made another pass at 70 +, but flipped it

With the twin 115's I had before, I got about 43.1 knots, so about 50mph

I managed to squeeze a little bit more out of mine, up to about 55.4knts now... a lot of fun. Want to change the props later this year though, and see if I can get a little more Have the bulk standard yamaha props at the moment.

Humber 5.3 Ocean Pro, Tohatsu 90 TLDI, Full tank (55litres), 2 up, Slight chop
GPS 46mph.

A great speed i think, something to do with power to weight. Was hitting the rev limiter though, so with a re prop i think i could get an extra couple mph.

Interestingly, i was faster than an animal 5.6 (i think) with a stepped hull running a 115 etec. Power to weight ratio is the key.......

BananaShark raceboat 73mph in race trim or 76mph in the very flat with a 200XS on the back - now fitted a 280hp 2.5EFI on the back and we'll be at the Poker Run on Saturday and we'll see what it'll do now if it's flat!
