Haven Marine

Has anybody had a new rib built by Haven Marine since Excalibur was taken over by them. I know they were great boats. They seem to be a local favorite for the seas of the SW coast of Eire and I would hope the tradition has been maintained.

Excalibur wasn't taken over. Joe (The boss and Nav.Arch.) packed it in and returned to Cushendall. A couple of the lads in the shop have retained the moulds and are in a position to make new boats to order.

I was quite in awe of Excalibur. It had a certain something that drew large numbers of single figure/issue posters on here to sing their praises...

Thanks. That is good news. I will keep an eye on their progress as I am considering a new rib in the 7.5 metre range and their Sports Rib with forward cabin looks very well suited to Irish sea conditions.
