out of curiosity whats the best discount any of you guys have got off a new boat price...?? can you pull the same tricks as you can with a car dealer and is it better to buy at any set time of year or at boatshows etc

Not at this time of year you can't, every tom dick and harry has just had a great weekend digging the garden and now wants a rib for the summer to get away and on the water. Oh and they want it now and didn't realise there is a waiting list for a build slot. Try October and November.

not a boat but I got a brand new boxed tohatsu control box for £150...retail is £385

Percentage wise I reckon thats hard to beat!

Buying a few weeks after the London Boat Show in January I got £2750 off a fully kitted 6m XS-RIB and a further £1500 off a 150 Optimax.

Local dealer said he couldn't supply me with the 150 Opti for that price, even at cost!!

Try as many tricks as you can, is my theory. It's an expensive hobby so you've got to save money somewhere!!
