Bruce: I think you're on the upper edge of the Fladen L envelope! Probably an XL for height, if not girth. My Awfully Wedded is of similar construction to SWMBO and she looks quite fetching in a M.

Is the length quoted the length of the suit or the height of the person wearing it? it isn't very clear in the size chart.
I may have a very good deal on two suits, will let everyone know if it works out
I am a bit upset, it being suggested I am now an XL size in anything

Damned if I can remember - but I'm 6' (183cm?) and the Large suit is just long enough legs and arms-wise. The suits are "forgiving" as regards waist and chest. One of the mob is an inch or so taller and is wearing the XL.

I'm a fat B'std (130kg!) and need an XXL in the Fladen which fits fine.

Read through the above and maybe technically I will be dead in a Fladen suit if they are only designed for fishing in but I'd sooner chance my life falling into the South Atlantic at about 4 degrees wearing a suit and a 150N lifejacket than anything less than that.

Some foreign fishermen jumped ship here last year (tried to swim ashore) and of the dozen or so who jumped over the side, two died, this was in the middle of Stanley harbour, never mind the ocean, and it only took minutes for our company launch to be scrambled, get to them all and pick up the survivors as it was only about half a mile from the jetty. The two that didn't make it washed up about two weeks later. That's the sort of survival time you are talking about when wearing normal clothes, and it isn't the first time it has happened nor, sadly, will it probably be the last.

I still haven't tried a Fladen, no one seems to stock them around the Solent. Most Fishing tackle shops favor other makes. Does anyone know where I could try one on locally?

I did try a Sundridge floatation 2pc suit on today, this was much lighter to wear than the Imax and came in a little cheaper.

So more confused than ever
