I don't like the idea of having gauges in that aren't working. It would worry me, and then having blanking disks in the holes would annoy me as well as it would be obvious something was removed.

I am going to try and get the red option made, so with the full wrap round the console out of a brushed stainless plate. The advantage of having it the full width means I can get the holes for the lowrance units cut to guarantee they are level.

I'd still do it properly if it was me, you know deep down that you've got to, you will never be happy with it

I agree. Or take the simplest, least effort route and leave them. Get some totally opaque window tint and cover them up. Carbon would look better but out of place and then you may as well have it laminated to the existing face and you are back to the cost of having it fixed.

Halfway tends to be more expensive that you wanted and usually doesn't look as good. Go big or go very small.

So I'm back looking at this again, and I wont be able to cover the holes with a plate so I am going to have to fill it.

I am taking out my old CD player as it looks rubbish with all the new Lowrance kit I have installed this summer, and I have managed to get a cheap Sonic Hub with blue tooth so wont need anything mounting on the dash anymore

From all the information everyone has given me on here I am happy filling the hole, but unsure about the final white finish - What is the best product, and how do I get a match?
