Ensign Mount (no jokes please)

I'm looking for a simple 35mm diameter clamp type ensign staff bracket to bolt on to the A-frame and am having difficulty finding such a thing - plenty of 25mm fitings for pushpits but nothing in 35mm stainless.

I do want a bolt on bracket, and not a plate welded to the A-frame.

Has anyone any ideas where I could find such a thing?

Many thanks

LT, If you find the bracket let me know, I have had two RIBS with A frames I needed with a flag staff and as you state the size was too large for normal clamps, so I resulted in one with a bolt on and the other welded, sorry not much help.

you could try http://www.wakeboardtower.co.uk/

they might have something that size but more likely aluminium and might need adapted to suit.

Not sure if this is any use - but I fitted a stainless steel stern light to the transom. Had to get my mother in law to trim down the ensign - as it wouldn't have looked out of place on an E type frigate!!!

Base is adjustable moulded PVC with 4 screw holes. Light pole was altered to take the ensign. All in £35.

The only solution I came up with was a very cheap one of a cable-tie and a loop of cord for the toggle at the top of the ensign and tie the bottom off to. Works very well in practice. See a few others do similar. See photo.

If you find a 'proper solution' I'd be interested too!

I have been looking for a bracket or two that would clamp around my A frame.

Have just noticed one of our members runs a site www.wakeboardtowers.co.uk
The lights sold for the wakeboard towers is just the sort of clamp we might both be looking for. Now if we could ask him to supply the bracket only, at a reasonable price ......

Only just found this - sorry for the delay guys.

This is exactly the kind of gear we have on the shelf.. if anything our gear is a little overbuilt for this purpose but what the heck.. when was that ever a problem

Looking at about £30 depending on exact unit.. for a clamp with 2 threaded bolt holes... I can supply the screws FOC all you need to do is drill through the flag pole (or similar) to mount it on there nice and firmly.

Anyone interested give me a bell on 01270 872161 and I'll do my best to sort you out. All pricing always include next day overnight delivery and VAT
