Just had a call from Mrs Davybuoy.

She's called SHDC who've informed her that repair work is starting on Tuesday next week as they've now had the go ahead from the MMO.

If its not sorted by the time you go there is a good slip that belongs to a yard up river a bit from dittisham. Sorry I cannot recall the name of the place but it might be on the boat launch site, good slip but miles of narrow and steep lanes to get to it. HTH.

I fully recommend blackness. I have stored my Rib there since 2008 and now my hardboat. Slipway very good just what out for low water springs. Contact David or Becky at Blackness and they will be able to help.

btw, I've no commercial interest in Blackness, just keep the boat there.

Blackness Point Marine is an option, so is Dartside Quay at Galmpton (latter easier to get to) plus campsite & good pub just up the road. Rob/ Steve in the office are very helpful.

If repairs take long, an option if you're down for a few days would be to launch at Blackness, Galmpton or Brixham, them pop the boat on a marina pontoon for a few days - c. 2.50/m /day.

Dartside is accessibble upto 2.5-3hrs of HW.

I'm sure there's be lots of pressure to get this slip fully operational again - they are meant to be widening it to 8m!
