And very unusually a red 'take action' warning, not sure I've ever seen one before.

Sorry Codders, the next time I have a glimmer of good news I shall be sure and stick it where the warm summer sun does not shine.

And by the way, mine's a 99!

It's not cold out now, so you'd probably get good business as it is

Upto 55knots on the SW tip of Wales here right now (about half a mile in from St Anns) - had 82knots on Saturday morning though... we have had more earlier on this year.

It's strange but people always seem to think Scotland gets such bad weather - EVERY time I check the windspeed we are getting the worst of it!!!

I wouldn't care if my boat was out of the water!!

It's not so strange. Note how carefully they promote the notion. Terrible weather and then, on the calm days, ferocious "mudgies". You'd almost think they were concealing something....

Trying to deter more "White Settlers" p'raps?

In the words of the song 'you are not alone'!! It blows a little up here as well, as I write this the conservatory roof is bouncing up and down and has been for almost 24 hours. Been down at the harbour looking out to to Ailsa Craig is very interesting indeed.
Oh for the summer months, bur there again only difference is it is a little warmer!
