The feedback is good though.

Got one last year for my Bombard and they are a nightmare to use because as you push to climb up, the ladder goes under the hull and away from you. you just end up laying on your back in the water.

One of the other guys on the lake I was at something very similar to the plastimo but without the bottom step - the key to it was that it was solid and halfway down bent away from the boat, the bend was still at mid tube level and therefore very stable.

It attached to the rail along the top of the tube with a couple of flexible straps

all good except he got it with his boat and I havent been able to find one anywhere yet!!!!

I have used it on my old 5.75 Viper, 4m SR & Bombard 380 Aerotec with my kids with no plrolem using the smaller one, very happy with it.

Yes i agree the stainless one looks nice but its not in the country and i bet thats even more expensive. Oh well, looks like i might have to get this one Aluminium Folding Ladder if the other store arent getting them anytime soon. I shall email them and see what they say. By the looks of it they are virtually the same except the price.

Honestly chaps, if there's someone on board then hold the 'victim' under the armpits, get them to hold their breath, then it's "one" and dunk, "two" and dunk, and up onto the sponson on "three".
It's fun, it works and you don't need a ladder.
Get on with it.
It also helps with MOB when a ladder isn't always to hand.
Give it a go......it's good. Get's them involved.

a boat hook gets your greater depth ! and makes things easier....lol

If you leave the vessel voluntarily.........make sure that you can get back into it voluntarily.
It's only a vessel if you're in it.

Mine is not used for MOB but for the kids swimming off the boat the tend to jump off the bow swim round clime back on board!
If someone falls in then I would drag them back in my self, if it is me I can clime back in unaided!

The ladder I have is by Italian maker Trem if I remember rightly!

I need the ladder as although i can get in it will greatly assist my wife who has rheumatoid arthritis and can't put pressure on joints or lift herself. It also causes pain if someone pulls her out. Of course in an emergency its not an issue but for everyday general use. Swimming etc its no good. Hence the ladder thread.

I made one myself with a piece of rope, a few knots and a piece of wood with two holes drilled in.

I just wrap the rope up around the wood (step) and it's small enough to store anywhere. Only really need one (maybe) two steps.

Saves a few pennies
