Charles, with a restaurant on Saturday night booked booked for 40+, it seems there's a lotta folks goin' along on this trip.

But I'm confused. Apart from you and yours, Brian, M&D G and the Awsomes who else is going? Can we please have a list of runners and riders. Or is this some sort of magical mystery tour?

The picture was taken an hour after low, heh heh.
At high tide the water comes up to the rocks in the picture, so no problem there. BTW, your hotel is literally next to the 3 bollards on the left.
These trips are always a bit of a mystery, the list is as follows:
Jim and Yvonne
Brian Taylor
Gary Tickner x 5
Brian Elliot + 1?
Mike and Di Garside
Roger Lyas x 4
Daniel Van Gelder x 4
John Puddifoot x 2
Peter Lightfoot x 2
Bob Barbour x 3
Steve Jennings x 4
Gordon Compton
Sir Charles Blois
Mike Deacon + 1
Charles and Fiona + 3
Andy Micklewright + 3

Now, lets see what we can do about the weather

Cyanides servicing will take me down to the wire timewise. Don't worry. I will still be coming, one way or another.

Well, the weather's lookin' OK.

There seems to be slow moving low south of Iceland for most of next week, but the Channel Isles are far enough away to spend most of the week in in a light W to NW airstream.

It'll be blowing a bit Wednesday/Thursday on the mainland coast, but Friday looks set fair, Charles.

So far...

Weather's lookin' better by the day. If there's any wind round your way, Charles, come the weekend I've no idea where we'll find it. Glad I'm not going sailing.

Might even need the shades...

Excellent, the weather is certainly one thing we have no control over, but ice cold lagers are completely under control Just got back from doing Guernsey on Friday night, Herm on Saturday morning, Alderney in the afternoon, Ecrehous Sunday morning and back to Jersey with the tide on Sunday afternoon. Lovely week-end!

Well the weather certainly did us proud!

A big thank you to everyone who made me, and other new members, so welcome over the weekend.

Charles and Fiona and family, the barbecue was superb, (the water taxi was the best too!), Jim and Yvonne made it possible and looked after everyone on the water (the flat wake ride from Ecrehous northwards gave us a much needed rest from bumping around), both Brians, it was a great pleasure meeting you, Peter (I'll make sure that you become a rib.net addict) thanks for the ride, Jules & Alan thanks for lifts and lots of laughs, and everyone else, thanks for great company - you're a great crowd!

I'll see if I can get some pictures uploaded to complement Charles' (unfortunately salt water seems to have got into my camera, so fingers crossed! - no such problems for you, eh Brian?).

Cheers,
Richard.

Yes, that's me...

I haven't got one of myself from the weekend, but I'll probably be in pictures of Peter's un-named blue tubed/white hulled Scorpion 6.5 (with Mariner 150) or with Jim & Yvonne on SD1 on Friday.

Best pic. of me (and that's not saying much!) is on my reply to Keith Hart's "Small SIB - BIG smile" post in the gallery section.

I've now got pictures from camera onto PC so I'll get some onto here shortly...

Well said, Richard. Nothing more I can add to that. It was a blinder.

Unfortunately the tide was so high at the Ecrehous one could not appreciate the beauty of this reef, this is what it looks like at low tide. Hmmmm, another trip over here very soon would be in order.

"another trip over here very soon would be in order" - certainly would... I've just about come down from the excitement of the last!

Anyway, looking at the picture, I guess we were just about parked on the edge of the beach - that's why you moored Crystal Shadow further out!
