hi
i.am new to ribs and have just bought a avon w525 from a mate
it has an inflatible keel . 5.25 meters and is in quite good condition.
what size of outboard should i buy. and are they any good .
any help would be appreciated.

HI are you going to keep this on a trailer or inflate when used?
Many years ago I had something similar we kept it inflated on a trailer, it had a 40 HP Mariner which would fly with 2 to 4 of you on it!
But 6 divers + kit you just chugged along no chance of getting on the plane.
Also a 40 HP is manageable for one person to lift!

nick thank"s i do have photos but dont know how to send them
on this form. yes boat will be on trailer breakback.i think i have got
the rib bug going to look at cobra rib and a preditor cat rib at week.end .ps looking for a good 30-35 hp engine.

Have you had a look at the Avon web sit it looks like your boat will take up to a 70HP!!

had a look if i went up. to that size i would need to fit a centre
console.
