atlantic 21. Or Pac

An any one assist a stressed out Nuge !

Fitting rails for collar am I right to say these are fitted or cut should I say in 3 separate places to allow the rails to form bow shape ?
For the life of me there is no way it's going round in a 5mtr run........yet the old rails where in one?
Hasten to add they where not as strong as the new ones I have, the originals where well flimsy,,
Any advise or pics gratefully received,,, googled but not getting what I want,,,

Cheers in advance

PM Dan as he has my old Atlantic complete with rails.
Think it had two rails on each side, ie one inboard and one outboard on either side, I think the bow needs a flat plate on it?

That's how the original was 2 inside 2 outside, very thin gauge possible 3 mm new ones are much thicker and stronger take some bloody bending me finks
Should of had them glued on less hassle lol

My Pacific has 2 long aluminium rails and a short curved one to go round the bow about 18" either side, they are quite thin and are curved to follow the lines of the hull, not sure if they began life as straight lengths of aluminium flat bar or not?
I have seen Pacifics with multiple sections of flat bar to negotiate the curves but it will look much neater in a continuous strip?
Best of luck, your Atlantic rebuild shines out like a shaft of gold, when all around is darkness!

if i remember rightly rails need to be rolled to curve them to match the rise in the hull they are not flat straight bars

I remade mine out of 5mm stainless, shaping them out of Ali should be easy in comparison!

These Atlantic ones are wine glass type rail Matt, not like the Arctic /Pacs strips.....but you are dead right, I remade the bow section on the Pac with Stainless.....After a days bending we got there, but was bloody difficult compared to ali

Sorry guys I have been reallyb busy only just got home ,

Yes it's the wine glass style as Henshaws, 5mm thick to hoot, guess I can just heat twist and bend shape accordingly,,just looks so wrong against the hull ,
If it was flat stainless I would be happy to attack it, we have a set of 5 mtr rollers at work sheet material, also angle material,
The original thin gauge rails you can just pull around the hull bolting on as you go real easy style
Will take a closer look Friday evening see if it makes more sence in my head, not helping working 15hr dayz

Many thanks for the input appreciated
nuge
