Common sense says you'd be better off getting it delivered. 65 litres of fuel, 2 nights hotel, 2 nights marina fees will equal more than either a transport company delivering it or hiring a trailer, car transporter etc for the day and driving it there by road.

Seriously no offence, be sensible. By all means have a run out in it and sure its possible to do this trip in that boat but not in the middle of winter as your first trip. Get used to it first and plan it better, with a mate on a larger boat perhaps.

I bet if you posted it up in that way you'd get an offer from a few escorting you around, or joining in.

So simcal your wanted us to just post

and be done with it?

In which case the question should have been

"how much does a 3.1 Avon with a 9.9 honda burn"

By adding in the rest you are opening yourself to the answers you have been receiving.

Be aware the ONLY reason people are posting as they are is to PROTECT you from a silly mistake. There are commercial drivers, RNLI Cox'n, Instructors, Racers and people with many many many years of experience on here.

Personally, I spend six months of my life working from one of those back in 2000, i would not want to spend 10 hours at planing speeds in any sea state.

Of course! I came for advice which some members gave in a non partonising way. Pity some other members vhave to boost their ego's by trying to be sarcastic and belittle people!

Go talk to your local RNLI or Coastguard about your passage plan - which obviously you must do anyway.
Now it would be very unwise to not inform the coastguard of your movements but the RNLI? "Must do"? Since when was there a legal requirement?

It's not. I meant talk to them for advice. CG for passage plan. When I typed it I thought somebody would pick me up on it. Don't care. Have fun.
