Hi Jono, this is a very delicate subject for me iam sure Ed is looking from a distance thinking what excuse to come up with, as far as we are concerned he has admitted that he has done it, i have the photographic proof, the original hull, photographed the copy mould tool.

When we started out in the v-type project, we had a Rib drawn from scratch, i have CAD drawing after CAD drawing the policy was to to do something different and not to draw from an excisting hull or copy another, what gives anyone the right? i feel like i my house has been broken in to.

Domino, how long have you been building your ribs for? When did the copying occur? (just out of interest)

rip off

I've been reading through this and i think that it is outrageous that any one would even think of doing such a thing, let alone do it and try to pass it off as their own design.

people who splash hulls should be branded thieves, as all they are doing is just taking another persons ideas and trying to pass them off as their own when really all thay have done is copied it, and not spent any time or money on the development.

I am sure that this community would like to hear this persons excuse for doing this!

There was a long discussion about this a while back when Leeway Composites claimed that a splash that he had taken was his "own design"

http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9094

Some people felt that it amounted to theft, some people reckoned it was just one of those things. Since then the "community" has hardly shunned him and in fact he seems to have some active supporters here!

I would say that there is a clear difference here Although Olmec has not defended the aligation. The facts if true seem quite conclusive

The console was purchased from a third party, recently we introducded a new model and purchased from the same source, this i can say has not been splashed.

How does Mike Ring handles splashers?

Ok

I've just about had enough of this horsesh*t from some of the people on this forum. I've had a very long day delivering boats to legitimate rib manufacturers who pay their bills.
When i get the chance i will reply to this slanderous crap dealt by Farmer, Tilley and the rest of his croney's. I have several sets of tubes to finish which will be on display on boat's at the Southampton boat show for anyone to see. This requires all of my time at the moment and so it will take a while before i can reply.
