Newbie about to purchase rib

Hi All.
As title really, about to purchase a 3.8 rib first ever powered boat. Aim to cruise the river Avon, Severn and perhaps go for day trips to the the coast for a bit of sea experience too.
Plan to buy new boat but 2nd hand engine due to budgetary restriction. Really wanted an aerotec or quicksilver but a little too expensive so I’m looking at this, what do you guys think, https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F142864136476

Planning on 2stroke for weight purposes (15-20bjp), sound about right?

Shopping list consists of boat, engine/fuel tank, rollers, life jackets, decent pump, vhf radio....anything else to start with?

Thank you in advance for help and guidance

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Re that particular boat I'm never keen on a supposed supplier who creates a "blank" business address on Ebay where the postcode leads to a road of private houses.

The Honwave 3.5AE is a near identical boat with a far better brand backing and sold by dealers who are visible traders.

If you are going for a daily outing with a daily set up do you really want an alloy floor... they can be a right faff to assemble and very heavy to carry.

The Honwave costs £110 less so matey's Ebay SIB is poor value.
