Hello from terry

Hello I'm new to R/Sib, got a honwave 30 with Ali floor just been out with my honda 5 hp outboard ( I've had the o/b for years, just bought the sib 2nd hand ).
Previously had a rigid boat (wayfarer dinghy) but too heavy now for launch / recovery. The inflatable is brilliant, no probs, it came with wheels, straight into the water, back out dead easy, marvellous.
Looking forward to picking your brains as I am new to this inflatable lark but I love what I've seen so far.
Regards,
Terry

Terry. Welcome to the forum. I've sailed in Wayfarers too but years ago. Still fancy sailing again though and often look at possibles on Ebay.

Where are you launching the SIB... river... lake ... sea?

David

Ahh well you start off with a far better water access than us... we are 80+mls from the sea.

Never too old... my uncle was 86 before he gave up his 1000cc BMW bike.

Yes really... and he had a 150cc scooter for shorter runs which is still in the garage but as he's 90+ now it sits unused.

Hello Terry I worked in The Lizard a few years back and on days off Helford river was a place I'd find myself. I'd have liked to have owned my sib (Honwave 3.2) at that time, in fact surrounded by all that water I think that's what led me to wanting a portable boat and then discovering Sibs and a lot more on this forum. Splendid place, welcome! Michael

Hi chaps, yes I've had a couple of runs out in the sib. I've got shingles at present, which is not great fun, but sometimes got ng out in the boat takes my money mind off it.
Boat is brilliant, launch and recovery is so easy compared to previous heavier boat.
Regards, terry
