Losing an inflatable is always unfortunate, these days worldwide you cannot leave anything floating , it not the Somale pirates other passeby thieves will be tempted to take it away and much faster if counting with an engine. It's easy ill gotten floating money.

Know of thieves stealing anchored inflatables that were left unattended while divers were diving deep, just to fin that their inflatable were gone once on surface, besides a very bad day, meant water trouble too.

I've forwarded details to Fowey Deputy Harbour Master in case they come by any news of it and will do likewise to Environment Agency and Cornwall Inshore Fisheries Conservation Authority, MMO and local Boatwatches. I'll also keep a lookout when I get back from leave. Have you old the Old Bill? Phone 101. Hope you get lucky.

Regards.

I’ve never stolen a thing in ,y life. But to play devil’s advocate…

Most people are completely unaware of how costly these inflatables and small outboards are. If someone happened upon your boat floating unattended, they could have very well thought it was abandoned, and took it. A crime of opportunity.
