ya lol i meant 15 hp 2 stroke

Ya the max hp is 15 hp. My mistake. Anyways I was considering both the Quicksilver 340 airdeck and the Quicksilver 430 Heavy Duty. But I kind of think the 430 ruins the purpose of a sib. The 340 is much more portable. The 430 would need 3-4 men to carry with the engine. The main reason for the 340 is that I dont want to have to buy a trailer. Though I might end up getting one. For now the 340 seems the best choice. Ill let you guys know which one I buy and post lotsa pictures from British Columbia. Thanks for those links. I love polaris boats but they are out of my price range at the moment. Hopefully if im able to afford a 15 ft rib in the next 5 years or so ill go for a polaris.

Oops!!! I just rechecked that website and it's actually Parksville, B.C. (not Parkersville). So it really isn't about you at all - Sorry Andre

I bought my first boat!

Yesterday I bought it! Its a Quicksilver 430 Heavy Duty with 25 Horse Merc 2 stroke! I got them both as a package and got an excellent deal! Im getting it delivered within 2 weeks so I shall post many pictures here of my first outing! I opted for the 430 becuase it is a lot more boat than the 340 but isnt that much more expensive. I am now part of the rib/sib community!

Congratulations, definitely post up some pictures once you have them. I think you'll find the 430 HD a much more versatile boat than the 340 airdeck. With the 430 you'll easily be able to fit 2 adults plus camping/fishing/hunting gear for a few days. That would have been very difficult with the 340. Also the hard floor will be much more durable than the airdeck, especially for carrying gear. The boat and motor are still a manageble weight for 1 person to set up & take down with the use of launching wheels.

QS 430 HD specs

One more thought, if you are taking a trip with another adult and yourself along with a fair bit of gear (including extra gas tanks), you'll be glad that you didn't go any less than 25 HP.
