A pal of mine was a landrover mastertech up till about 5-6 years ago and he hates them with a passion. He tells of brand new ones having to be towed off the transporter into the workshop and ripping dashboards out to find electrical faults says tata manufactured wireing harnesses are like a rats nest
Jap crap will outlive them any day volvo xc90 is good too

Electronic gremlins..... Yup...... I know someone who had a spank new range rover under their house, It just went under the house height wise with suspension down. For months it was fine but one morning he started it up and suspension went as high as it would go and he couldn't stop it and crushed the roof badly. It took land-rover 2 days to get it out from under the house without doing more damage.
I did briefly consider a landy but the maintenance put me off, Yes everything breaks but I honestly know of only 1 person who had a landy and gave them no issues. Was a disco 3 but it was chopped in before warranty expired.
The good thing about landy is parts are everywhere so if you can handle a spanner it shouldn't be a big issue, I am not one of them though!
I am meant to be picking up my xc90 tonight so will see how that fairs.

I'd stick with the Japanese stuff if I was you👍Toyotas all the way for me

On second thoughts, probably better off sticking to your Volvo, might want to browse this first😏

My pal who worked for landrover is now a service manager for a company who have depots in Afghanistan and Iraq and they have all sorts of 4wds the only ones that hang together in the harsh environment are the landcruiser and hilux & he drives a xc90!
It used to be every war film you saw was landrover and Jeeps everywhere, what is it now? Toyotas!
Says it all realy!
