Outstanding service

Thought I would mention this here as lot's of people have Garmin Kit.

I've had an Etrex Legend for over 3 years now and just before Christmas the down stopped working on the little pointer for the menus.

Picked up the brochure from the boat show and asked the rep where to send it for repair.

I sent the unit off with a covering letter asking for a quote on the repair and just under a week later I got a new one back in the post covered under warranty.

What can I say but amazing service, I shall be thanking them by letter this weekend. Just wish everything was so easy to get fixed.

Aren't they just excellent people to deal with!

Every time I've ever had conatact with Garmin and their staff I've found them very helpful, and I've seen a number of posts from RIBnet members with similar experiences to you - ie: "warranty expired, sir? don't worry we'll look after you." What more can anyone ask for?
