Dragging this up again....

Does anybody know if an Icom MB-92 cover will fit onto an IC-M411? It is sold for something called the Icom 304 which I have never heard of till a moment ago, but the two radios look as if they are probably based on the same sized case in the photos, and I'd like to get something to keep the sun/weather off the radio while the boat is sitting outside - I know it isn't waterproof.

Regretably, it won't fit. The MB-92 is designed for the M302 and M304 sets which measure 153x67x133 whereas your M411 measures 164x78x139.5.

If you just want to keep the weather off, I bought a "patio stacking chair" cover from B&Q for about 5 quid. It's shaped to fit over a stack of the cheap white plastic chairs commonly found outside in the British summer (21-21 july each year) The shape just happens to be roughly the same as a console, it keeps the sun & rain off (&currently snow) & is cheap to boot.

Thanks - blast, thought I was on to something then the old IC402 had a similar cover until I lost it but no idea what it was - maybe something else made to fit.

I've got a soft console cover that I had made with the boat I'm just not sure if it will stand Falklands wind as it's only held on with poppers around the bottom. As everything is supposed to be waterproof I just wanted something to pop over the VHF and maybe something else for the I-commands just to stop the display getting crazed, the GPS already comes with a natty clip on cover.
