best marine electronics shop

hi there

Preferably cheap, with delivery to SWEDEN

items like below or better

Garmin 750s

Garmin Ais 600 receiver and transmitter

some good nmea 2000 VHF (heard about some recognized fault with the Garmin model)

Radar radome 18 or 24 with HD or broadband tech

plus since its for my 33feet sailing boat

autopilot like the Raymarine spx 5

and wind instruments

I can buy from different shops if necessary.
all nmea2000 or compatible (or just save me as much hassle as possible)

Cheers!

Hi, we can supply all of these items at the best price. We recently quoted 60 GBP for shipping to Sweden of a 10kg order, your shopping list looks lighter than that.

As we are outside of the EU we will not charge you sales tax, though you may have duty to pay in Sweden.

We currently have a deal on the Garmin 750S, with sonar transducer and Garmin AIS600 transceiver at 1483.00 GBP.

The Garmin VHF 200i is N2K and I understand it is problem free, we have had poor feedback on the 300i but for installation in a sailing boat this may not be an issue at all. The 200i is 219.00 GBP.

C-R, what sort of problems are reported with the 300i? Wasn't there a problem/recall with the 100i too?

The 300i is not very ergonomic for use in a powerboat IMHO, it does not sit well in the hand when bouncing about from wave top to wave top. There is no direct access to the volume control, which is a pain if you want to be able to chat with your crew but then turn it up if an important call comes in.

Neither of which are an issue on a quiet and peaceful saily boat

Thanks for that. My experience of saily boats is that there is a lot of grumpy shouting - not so peaceful. Was water ingress an issue with the 100i?
