Hi Tim

We will be in Bangor on Friday evening and there are some questions that I cannot answer at this time.

All will be made clear later

We may even come over to Jersey depending on how long the team/boat is spending in the Islands.

Dont forget, not only are we doing this trip for ourselves but two charities. In Canada it is the Food Bank Association. An organisation set up to make sure no one goes hungry. And in the UK, The Make a Wish Foundation. (A modern day "Jim will fix it) Alan P

A right Royal quote.
seeing as our competitor is favoured by Prince Charles I thought that it might be good for you to hear what Charlies mum has got to say.

"Above all, we must keep alive that couragous spirit of adventure that is the finest quality of youth and by youth I do not just mean those who are young in years, I mean too, all those who are young in heart no matter how old they may be "
Her Majesty The Queen.

That us, a bunch of old gits who are doing it for the fun

Is that Queen-speak for 'old fart'?

Just had our first weather briefing with Bertie who inform us that the wind has been blowing a constant 50 knots for over a week up in Greenland. That may sound bad, but for us it is a good sign.
Coupled with a very strong Gulf Stream which has increase the water tempeture to an amazing 8 degrees in the Northern part of the Labrador Sea, the strong sea swell has broken up the pack ice which is melting at an alarming rate. If all goes well we should only experiance a little ice this year which will suit us fine.

Might not suit the other team "Bearing" in mind they are expecting to be filmed amoung the "dangorous and crushing pack ice" Bertie will be giving daily weather updates from 27th July on the forum. Alan P
