I looked into a Biomass log fired. Our local robber wanted 30k for the kit, he estimated 18t of wood per year. That didn't include building a plant room.

Even with the greeny grants, that was never gonna happen.

I looked into and costed most renewable options, I settled on Solar water, MVHR and a shit load of insulation.

Might slap some PV panels about the place at some point.

100% agree with insulation insulation quote.
It makes a substantial difference.
Kingspan/celotex boards between floor joists, dropping ceilings and fitting insulation boards there too.
The difference is unreal !!
