I could get to like this as a every day whiskey.
Tastes a wee bit like grapes and pear.
Finish's with a slight peppercorn taste.
Overall a nice sweet everyday single malt at 35 bucks here.
Cheers, Squid

And in the meantime the Kilchoman "winter 2010"
Kind of like a "Laphroig mild" with proportionally less TCP & hints of Kylenesh (predictive errors expected, coz I want a real keyboard...). Which is in no way a criticism.
What's weird is the new raw spirit that was on sale a few years ago was a proper peat n yer hied Islay tonsilectomy. Hadn't expected such a mellowing.
Such is the fun of single malt...

Hmm! Let me think about that for a couple of nano seconds....nope! I might have a dram or two of something else to warm the cockles though.

Well fek me its been a while
Anyhoo .. dropped past the Baxters shop off the A9 after returning from the Doric land last weekend ... I'm now brushed up on the tongue
the've hev an affa fine selection divent ye ken ? .. but they know how to charge for them too
Including a bunch that are locked in 2 glass full height cases
Personally its not worth the stop ,, theres a few specialist shops such as the one in Inverarry thats worth the Journey because of what they have and what they know
Anyways I bought 2 an old fave Auchentoshan 3 wood and a Glenburgie 10
The tosh is good .. and for a hangover .. the Glenburgie is a classic but I wouldnt buy this Gbottle peeps .. it misses all the things I remember for this dram it tastes fine though.. but not worth specialist money these punters are looking for
Drink responsibly you nobburs good health

In the morning the sun is going to come up:
I, am going to be slipping my SIB into a stretch of calm glinty water nearby.
And you, are going to be sooooo sorry you necked the Auchan!
I've tested it, 4-5 (Irish) nips and you get a hied!
