Well, No...it doesn't...... quote from DOT... or whatever they are nowadays...

"....there is not any specified relationship in UK law between the weight of the towing vehicle and the weight of the trailer."

<edit> Just to clarify..we are talking about braked trailers....unbraked trailers (up to 750Kg) mustn't exceed 50% of vehicle weight ..

So please, stop digging.......and, by the way?... isn't there a "T" in JonaThan..?

From the dictionary:-
Genus crustacean

Eupacrustaceanious
noun [C or U](Phonetic:-Eup-Belgium-living-expert-ious)
a sea animal that has five pairs of legs and a round flat body covered by a shell.
Habitat:- Belgium country of myths, feeds mainly on crap.

Codprawnipous
noun [C] (Phonetic:-Co-Welsh-living-expert-ous)
a small edible sea animal with a shell and ten legs.
Habitat:- Bottom feeder, talks crap.

Coincidence or what

Sorry wrong again

I happen to be the UNIQUE offspring of my loving parents - Gadus morhua and
Leander serratus - I had a wonderful upbringing which was brought to a sudden end by the evil rhincodon typus.

To even SUGGEST I have legs - never mind 10 of them - is terribly insulting and just typical of common prejudice and I demand an apology at once!!!

I understand that you are a cripple....................??

As regards media control -
nobody insists you buy The Sun, Times, Sunday Times.Murdoch has a few magazines which could hardly be thought of as Media Control. I met the man in Wapping some time ago- and if you had ever met him you woul'nt come up with your kind of prose. So who is the hypocrite??

Desmond is a different kettle of fish.

The problem Codpiece, is that all this critique comes from jealousy.
I only referred to Nick Hearnes rants about a Discovery because he himself called it his new toy. Not me, and quite frankly to spend 40000 quid on a 4x4
is just plain stupidity
Anyway , realy enjojed myself over the last 24 hours- and buy you a drink anytimes. I am off for the next 48 hours, and more important have to make
Sangria

Kind wishes to everybody

Jonathan

Jono, to tow 4000 kgs with your bone rattler is just asking for trouble unless
you dont do more than 45 kph- Reminds me of a guy who was towing a car trailer with an LR - and how many people did he kill when he went off the road and blocked a main rail line - towing trailers in excess of 3000 kgs is just unsafe at any speed unless you happen to be a super, super , super driver. Are You?

I would also check your insurance to see if they would cover you in case of an accident.

Jonathan

I was going to try and reason with you, but it seems that you are not a reasonable person...so I'll just resort to base insults... " You really are a prize tit, aren't you?"......

Why is it stupid, should I sell the house & move in to a tent?
If I can afford a £40 grand car why not if you can only afford a £20 grand car & you are happy with it well aren't you Lucky!
£20 grand sat in the bank ain't a lot of fun & driving a KIA shore ant my idea of fun!
Stupid would have to be spending lots of money on boats but we all do that!

Just shows the limit of your intelligence. People like you I spit out before
breakfast. If you had read ( can you read with your limited capacity/) my posts- I was referring to Belgium regs- which invarabaly become eu regs.

Why dont you tell everybody how many people that guy killed whilst towing with a LR ( and overweight trailer)???- i,e answer the question.
And check your facts - go to www.landrover.be ( dated jan 2005 ) - there is no mention of towing weights as regards the Discovery ( go to specifications-if you find it difficult to follow just ask me)- and the resaon for that is that legislation is changing as regards Jono type people having accdents

With tremendeous rspect ,

jonathan
