Got some flares to get rid of orange smoke does the smoke stain when it touches stuff such as fences, trees etc

I've heard that some CAN stain - but my personal experience with a mix of brands was that they didn't stain the ground or nearby trees/bushes.

Did they mot limit it to a handful of disposal sites very thinly spread round the country and "by appointment"?
