My unit arrived today from the states only 4 days after I paid for it

It looks well made and took me about 3/4 of an hour to fit.
Luckily I have a bit of spare space under the centre consol in my Shogun and tapped in to the same power supply I used when I first brought the car and fitted my phone car kit.

I'm quite impressed with how good it sounds for the price, considering it is plummed into the antenna cable.
On some tracks you wouldn't know it wasn't a CD, but I'm talking about quite heavy rock there, on some quiet Classical tracks there is a slight hiss only audable in the silent parts of the piece, and some distortion towards bass.

Once on the move the Shogun isn't quiet enough to worry about it.

Out of interest, can other vehicles close by tune into what you're listening to?

Yep, probably could if I knew which wires were what, and thats probably what I'll end up doing.

Going to have a good Google session this afternoon seeing as the weather is rubbish and I've decided to say B*llocks to trying to catch up with some work one day a week.

Just seen this thread, would this be any good

Bedajim.

Thanks for that, unfortunatly my 52 plate Shogun doesn't have factory fitted Sat Nav, or even a free aux input to the back of the head unit.
For what I paid for it the one I've fitted is good enough.
When I eventually get round to swapping the Shogun in for something else I'm hoping a new vehicle will come with better options for this sort of thing.

Nos
I don't see that anyone can, as the input is hard wired into the antenna lead and not actually transmitted wireless.

As an experiment I'll park Mrs Nashers Pug up beside it tomorrow and try to tune it in.

Tried today to tune the radio in Mrs Nashers Pug into the signal from the MP3 player and couldn't get a thing, even though it was parked up right alongside.

The one I ended up getting was one of these.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wired-car-ster...item5d286f99d4

It's exactly the same but branded Scosche.

As the Shogun is going I've removed it this afternoon and it will be shoved in the loft unless somebody makes me an offer for it.

Can you not just get a 2 into one plug adapter for the aux socket that your cd changer uses.
