Alex is certainly a very lucky man - living in that part of the world and having a descent job - very envious

Was that the 9 metre south coast thing ? That did sound very cool, glad you enjoyed it (and very envious I didn't go - had some some silly idea about prioritising working on my trailer )

May bank holiday sounds ace - I'll probably have a +1 as it's near my other half's birthday. Might have to try and throw him in another boat if possible though as a man's a lot of extra weight in a little SR4 when trying to keep up with all you proper boats !

A couple of considerations.........

Jean , you may need to forwarn folk that petrol is NOT readily available on the water hereabouts ( possibly only Lawrenny - again not at low tide ) so bring some suitable containers .

Also if you decide to do a cruise towards Tenby , you may want to monitor this useful website , to avoid 12 mile detours arond the ranges.

see http://www.pembrokeshireranges.com/

Good point Bern.
The firing doesn't tend to occur on weekends though, so shouldn't be a problem.
Petrol on the quay at Lawrenny and if you've got loose cans, it's only a short walk to the supermarket petrol station at Pembroke Dock.

Updated and noted - thanks guys very helpful

1st May Bank Holiday 2010 - Cruise details and Ribnet Members

Petrol is NOT readily available on the water so suitable containers required. Petrol is available on the quay at Lawrenny and if you've got loose cans, then a short walk to the supermarket petrol station at Pembroke Dock.

Tenby cruising - worth checking range activity although not expected at weekends

Can I come and play?

Used to go climbing on the Pembrokeshire cliffs a lot when I was at Uni in Swansea, and it is beautiful. Sat on a ledge dangling above the sea, when I was supposed to be concentrating on belaying my oppo's as they struggled on some really tricky, dangerous move, I often used to think how great it would be to go exploring by boat; wondering what was round that next headland or whether that black speck out in the bay was a seal...aah, student days...
