I've spoken to the Port of London Authority and they seem happy for our "cruise in company" to go ahead. I've now emailed them the details and we will have to wait and see what they say.
I have assumed that everybody has a VHF radio so if you haven't got one please let me know so we can sort out a borrow for you.
Experience has told me
that using radios can really complicate things so I am proposing to use face to face communication for most things. However we all need to monitor channel 14 during the day which is the current port wide channel for London VTS. My boat and the tail end boat (Barrier II) will also monitor Ch 16.
Please note that this is a "cruise in company" and neither me or RIBnet are responsible for you, your boat or your actions. It will remain the responsibility of the skipper of each boat to navigate it appropriately! (Except if your a jetski in which case your not allowed to "navigate" anyway!
