Sorry to have missed this one glad you all had a good day for it.

I went out from Bristol for a couple of hours and it was so cold I thought my teeth were going to shatter.

She has a 200hp Yamaha HPDI, a reasonably soft ride most of the time, electronics wired by monkeys, and an aptitude for stuffing in any weather!

Glad you all had a good time. I ended up working this weekend and doing the same stuff as Jimbo by the sounds of it.

Jimbo - were you running the advanced course that finished about 22.30 on sat and went in and out of Beaulieu?

Yep, that was us. We didn't actually go into Beaulieu - just found the sector light, followed it a way, then turned round and headed back to Pompey via some unlits.

Hopefully you had a good weekend out and about too - it was perishing out there!

It was indeed!

You guys had great weather for this, compared to last weekend. I remember we did this cruise the day after the Christmas dinner last year so the hangover blocked out the cold.

Biggles, it was me waving at you from Predator.

Thanks to everyone, especially K, and for the choccy orange.

Setting off from Lymington at 12.30 I initially was cautious sitting down and hiding behind the windscreen - it was cold! Eventually after a few minutes, decided this was too cold - so went up to 35-40 knots still sitting and hiding behind the windscreen. Interesting not using legs as suspension. I can feel muscles as I write!!!

Getting close to Cowes arrpoaching from the west into the Easterly with wind over tide it was really interesting - I have never known such a churned up and scary Solent - a great relief to make to contact with the Pompey crowd.

Excellent day - super company - and the return run was a blast. Thank you all.

Merry Christmas.
