As you all invidually know i've tried to organise to meet up with you but for what ever reason it just is not happening. What i propose is we all meet at southend pier on Sat 17th Jan.

sat 17th
Daniel
West Ham are away that day so count me in, Steve Care if you want you can come with me and anyone else who fancies a day out. The tide at Southend End Pier on the 17th is 0707 and 2006, this may cause a problem for the Essex boys at Two Tree Island so i think it will be best to launch at Burnham.

Yes, i have just checked the tide. In my limited experiecne this will not affect our ability to tie onto the end of the pier, have some refreshments and still find our boats floating will it?
La Bamba is up-for-it as well.
If people would rather re-schedule to, say teh next Sat when the tide is 2:20pm at Southend then shout.

Hi Daniel
I'd prefer the 24th this way we'd have daylight time to launch and get across to southend and back again, i need 3 hours ish after high tide at Herne bay to get back in, also worth remembering that Phil D does not have nav lights so unless he's up for a stealth mission we'd be restricted to daylight, it takes me about an hour ish to get to the mouth of the estuary from Herne bay if i go via the faults and that all depends on the weather as well, if its rough it will take me longer as i cant run fast in a heavy sea, we went around the faults the other week when you were also out and it took us about 3 hours to go out to shivering sands, then onto redsands and back via Faversham creek and Whitstable, bearing in mind it was gusting force 7 with a 50knot wind !!
let me know your thoughts
Richard (BR)

Southend cruise
Daniel
I can make either week-end, Saturday or Sunday in both cases, but would prefer the 24th. I'll launch in Essex as I only live 20 miles from Southend. Hopefully this will avoid problem with lack of nav lights. Happy to trailer round to Herne Bay if Southend is final destination, or are you intending to go on from there?
Look forward to meeting you all in due course.
Phil

OKay looking good. I suggest we wait untill we know who else can / can't make the two suggested dates (i'm not available on Sundays) before changing to the next weekend.
Richard (BR) if we go on the 17th or if it's looking like a long haul in your boat jump in with me or Mike if he makes it.
Southend just seamed like a good place to meet-up, tie onto Pier and have a coffee or whatever, then onto... whereever people want really. How about midday @ southend pier head?

Either Burnham or Gillingham, depending on what Mr Bilge Rat is doing. If it's Burnham I'll rendezvous with you of course.
