Thanks for the Tips

To answer everyone
Eilen Mor McCormac sounds fantastic, and as we will be round Corry & the Grey Dog, it all looks very convenient, and a real highlight of the trip.
Cambeltown is en-route to meet up with friends, yes I would love to get to N Ireland, if there is time I am sure we will, a lot of the route will be influenced by the weather.
Fuel Plan, I did have a thread on it last winter and my map is still there see

UK Petrol Ports for Boats - Google Maps

thread Where can you buy petol, quayside in the UK

We have approx 250 Nm range, but there are still some good gaps, we have contacted a few harbour masters, who have all so far been very helpful over getting jerry cans to the boats.

I have just started a fund raising page
Virgin Money Giving | Fundraising | Take Two Ribs
The links from our Take Two Ribs blog site should be going up shortly.

Thanks for the support

Indeed - we took the kids this summer. It is a slightly unusual place in that it is in middle of nowhere, has no inhabitants, but there is beautifully cut grass! We were amazed by the huge number of Burnett Moths we saw there (not that I knew what they were at the time).

Where you staying on your travels? I run the campsite at craignure between oban and tobermory. There is a small pier and slip onsite which is free and a petrol station 500yards from the site. www.Shielingholidays.co.uk
P.s there's a great local pub and good food.

I am not going round Britain any time soon, but I am tempted just by the sound of your place. If there is a shoot nearby then I am sold.

The guys have already added most of what I would suggest, but in the absense of Tony so far, there's Colonsay and Easdale, both of which have a microbrewery......

Unfortunately I'll be at work when you are passing anywhere I could get to, but all the best for the trip!
