Kimmeridge sounds interesting but i guess the times would be similar to Lulworth? Times look very different time to Poole. Any idea what what the time around low water that it would not be possible to launch?
You can launch on any tide at WPNSA which is what I will do

I would recomend Baiters or if tides not right then Cobbs Quay slip way. The run from Poole along coast is worth any etra miles or effort, great sceneray along that run.

I might see you chaps about, if its rough, more lumpy than normal I may not, I will venture out and head towards St Albans from poole and see what it is like.

Really sorry, but the forecast is a bit too unsettled, and I have someone on the boat who has never been out in a Rib before. I am bottling out of the Lulworth trip. I am planning just to have a buzz around the solent, probably from Hamble to Yarmouth.

Sorry again, and I hope the rest of you have a great time.

Captain and I have decided to play it safe and won't be going. We're going to stick to Southampton water instead.

Sorry to hear that, I was hoping to meet up this trip. Have a good one what ever you decide to do.

We got to the Needles, it felt too ruff so we've headed to lymington.

Sorry if we've caused any inconvenience.

No problem. Avocet and u did go to old Harry but no one there. We carried on to Swanage ledge. V rough so I decided to return to the Studland beer festival ( not a bad 2 bad choice). Avocet carried on and is currently in Lulworth with a beer in hand.

Had "fun" when we turned back at the Needles, may as well have switched the engine off! Tide took over!!! It was very much a learning experience but also fun!
Learnt a lot today plus built confidence I the rib.
Hopefully next time.

It seems that we were the only ones that made it from East or West. A seven squeal outward trip from the willing crew: two off Peveril, two off Durlston (somewhat unusually) and three off St Aldhelms. On the way back there was much spray because the wind had increased (both of us got wet) but the tide had turned and the ride was much smoother.

No danger but lots of thrills: conditions that Ribs were made for so it's a shame that no one else went for it. Nonetheless, appreciate Swedishjedi's attempt: it's a long way from Portsmouth against wind and tide. Hope to meet up with you (and everyone else) next time.

David
