I know about this place but was wondering about camping on the island itself?

Hi Bruce at the first ERR I asked if I could camp as all the cottages were gull and was told no they do not allow camping on the island. Hope you get fixed up. Cheers. B

If you are camping then take an air bed, the ground is as hard as a goats knee!

I'm hoping to make it up again for this - probably camping as usual behind the Arts Centre like the last two years unless anyone has a spare bed going in a cottage nearby or on the Island.

Update

Easdale is awakening following the winter and looking forward to the RIB Rendezvous 10/11 May. It will come around quickly with Easter so late in April.
Accommodation – Anyone is still looking see Eilean Eisdeal -Easdale Island links
Food – we will get Keren at The Puffer to give us a menu and a price for Saturday evening.
YOUR RIBs – time to get the dust sheets off and run the engines. Circumnavigating Jura – particularly the west side is a coastline devoid of harbours. Plenty of fuel and plenty of ‘sustenance’ for the day. With neap tides and high water at around 1600 we should be able to make it all the way to Inner Loch Tarbert for those wanting a navigational challenge. Seven sets of transit marks to find. For those who wish to do some pre planning, get hold of a copy of Clyde Cruising Club Guide – Mull of Kintyre to Ardnamurchan Point.
Polo Shirts – Billy has organised but I am sure if you would still like one he may be able to squeeze you onto the list.
More details to follow after Easter

If you haven't yet registered could we please request you log onto Easdale RIB Rendezvous - Home so we have a record of who is likely to attend. It makes planning easier for the office.

Thanks
Team ERR

Only 2 weeks to go - looking forward to it. Hornet and her trailer all serviced and ready for a splash.

Does anyone have any videos of Hornet in action that they could send to us? PM me for my private email address if you do.

Thanks.

Weather is settling, e mail to follow

The RIB season at Easdale has certainly started. It is much warmer here this year than at the same stage last season. After a wet and windy winter things appear to have been calming down. Your contact for the event in the Seafari ticket office is Carolyn and Ben will be the crew to meet/greet and solve any problems when you arrive/during your stay.
Carolyn will be sending out emails and keeping everyone to speed.
Currently there are around 35 registered for the event with the usual collection of locals who say they are coming and will just turn up. We hope you have all had your propellers turning over the past couple of weeks and your RIBs getting up to speed.
Do pack plenty of warm clothes, I have been out at sunny Tiree for a few days. Clear blue skies, calm seas but you needed hats and thermal vests for most of the day.

Tony

Looking forward to this and some nice calm seas, because it will probably be our last unless we can hitch a ride because we are selling Hornet. If anyone's looking for an excellent boat next year there is always This yellow monster.

Would it make up for it if I said I've just finished smoking 3 venison fillets for said weekend?

The Salmon is being delivered in half an hour, they will be getting the same treatment.
