Charles, just spoke to Laura on Herm this afternoon about cancelling my trip (10-16) she has offered to transfer my 100 deposit, to the Ribnet trip 29/31. This is very nice as I had expected to loose the deposit. Happy to sort it out once we arrive in the Channel Islands, but there is another 100 in the kitty, hope this helps.

AY, thanks for the offer but perhaps I should offer you a lift. Plan to depart Gosport by rib early and meet the crowd at Lymington for 7am (think thats the start). Saves car parking / launching etc as "Old Spice" is already in the water. Could pick up up at Camber dock if it helps.

Pete

Pete, don't get up too early as I don't think that anyone else will get away this early. Only those of us with the RIBs already in the water will be able to move as there won't be enough water at Lymington to launch, and those waiting for a crane launch may not be in the water until 0800 to 0830 ish. More on this later, I'm sure!

Charles,
Can I please return to the subject of anchoring. I received your letter today, many thanks, and you suggest, as was mentioned on here previously, two 'good' anchors should brought. Currently I only have one decent anchor. If I need another, I'm not going to get any change out of 100. Are two really needed? Are there alternative mooring sites? Or alternatively, does anyone have a spare for sale or, to borrow?

Regards,
Dave
