Guernsey:
Petrol and Diesel available upon entering St.Peter Port three-quarter way into harbour to port. Not effected by the tide.
Everyone will take fuel (diesel or petrol) onboard at Guernsey (not Alderney) upon arrival. Herm is 8 minutes away thereafter.
Can arrange a shell taner for the diesel guys at 24ppl if interested.

Petrol Guernsey

Dom

Petrol berth at St Peter Port dries 1.5m above chart datum (you must have wheels on your hull)

the other fuel berth in the Queen elizabeth 2 Marina is avalible only from half tide up. (seaward side at all times inside marina)

my appoligies.
it was Charles that quoted that the fuel berth was not tidal,

didn't want to see any body turn up on a big spring tide and find the fuel berth high and dry

No worries, I will be giving some away on the night any how.

If not the hotel you are staying at is opposite my house so I can give you a bottle when we get there.

Charles

Having just moved house everything is chaos here but somewhere there is a letter from BIBOA saying send deposit money to you for the Channel Isles Camping Cruise.

I previously informed you I would be coming along with my father and daughter and that we would need a nice tent to rest our heads in. How much money do I need to send you and just as importantly where do I need to send it.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Regards

Martin

Hi Louise, you must be Richard B's better half - great to see you guys in your new rib.

Is there anyone leaving from the East Solent area as I have 2 ribs looking for company on that side?

Hello Charles

We will be leaving from Southampton. Don't know which way round the island we'll go but we want to meet up with Peter Lightfoot & family on "Loose Cannon" at some point.

Martin - where are you launching from?

Hi Charles,
I've posted the form with a cheque. I'm planning on coming with my wife and daughter (job permitting!). We'll need a tent please. Martin Stacey and I discussed a few weeks ago, the possibility of leaving from the Exmouth area. Assuming you're still up for it Martin, we would be interested to hear from anyone wishing to join us.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Charles,

I'm coming with Son and his friend. As much as I'd like a fixed tent, I think I'll bring my own. With my luck of the weather, I think I'll just risk a pitch space to pay for and not use!
Probably launching at Lymington with the other early risers on Friday morning.

You should have my form and cheque by now but if it hasn't arrived, let me know!

Julian was going to co-ordinate leaving the Solent area, but has had to withdraw. The reason I am telling you all this is for the fact that someone else will be named co-ordinator (a volunteer would be good) and will obviously arrange all the details as they become available.

ps Clarky - I have received your details - thanx!
pps. Keith -they don't allow spiders on Herm - seriously, Jon C you are most welcome to come along, I'm sure people would be looking for capable crew.
Mike C – got your details thanx.

I should be about that weekend to help with anything like refuelling, Diesel only available on Sat at 22p pl but available nearly all weekend SPP or if not I can get to a garage and do shift of 250 litres a time at around 45p pl.

Or just do some really fun rock hopping tours around Herm and Sark.

Let me know if I can help.

Charles,

I'm sort-of new to skippering the RIB, but would be happy to co-ordinate the Solent departures if that's any help. I think we'll be staying down in or near Southampton on Thursday night to make the early start easier. I guess we will need to get a move-on as you've got morning and evening high spring tides in the Channel Islands that weekend.

Dom - are you diesel only? I assume that us petrol users will need to be independant?
