RIBase
As a sometime island resident, ask me about sights on the island. Especially the secret wartime tunnels and abandoned fortifications.

Also interested Tim

Cannot commit as I would need a 'generous' weather window.

I'll keep a watch on this thread.

We are a probable. I'll make the decision and booking in a B and B in about a weeks time, we went last year with a couple of other ribnetters and would really like a return trip, if we go we'll have our kids with us 10 and 13.

Got a list of jobs as long as my arm to get the boat up together and ready but we are looking forward. even SWMBO was excited about it last night and she is still very nervous with the boat!

Electrician coming down next Wednesday to some work for us, then going to get pulled out for clean and polish.

fingers crossed for the weather now!

Can I suggest that people bring some fuel cans it will make refuelling easier .
So far confirmed
Tim Griffin Redbay
Roy Coastline
Zippy Scorpion
Wahoo Sony Levi
Low Flyer Coastline

Maybe coming
Lee Argyle Stingher
Andre Parker
CGF 10 Shearwater
All welcome just add your name to the list .
Fuel available and accommodation at Alderney – The Channel Island | Visit Alderney for an enjoyable, relaxing Channel Islands holiday at any time of year
we will have two groups fast 25 knots plus and slow 15 to 20 knots.
Suggested kit- Radar Reflector -parachute flares - vhf -fire extinguisher-fog horn-drogue or sea anchor-charts plotter and pencil-knife- warm clothes-sun glasses-sunblock- snacks -water-extra warps spare fuel .
On previous occasions we have encountered fog quite thick at times so need radar reflector and fog horn.
Everyone who comes is responsible for their own navigation and safety and it is the skippers decision to go or not.
