i think calshot was £15 or so.....

It looks that way mate, might have a discovery by then to tow it?
Travel Lodges are cheap and cheerful!

Tent would be good but I want my drysuit to be there when I get back.

Might be a caravan on a camp site, don't fancy the tent option much. I think we'll both be stopping over night as it's just to far to drive a days yahooing!

i wouldnt recomend driving back, it would be too much in one day!
I can kip in the back of the Landrover so a campsite would be ideal.
ideally one not too far from the slip?
heres one to keep john happy...........

Ellersleigh caravan and camping park is right on the M27 and close to all the slips, and will accept a load of hairy arsed ribnobburs no problem

So let me get this right. On 10 october a load of odd looking ribbers with mainly orange & grey boats will descend on the solent to cause havoc ,then have 'a few' beers, and try & find thier way back inside portsmouth harbour ?

Do I ; try & find them all ( cant be too hard -loads of spray & boats flying around),take some pics etc,or - lift theboat out , lock up my daughters & head to West wales to find sanctuary ?

Someone warn solent coastguard ! (Secretly I wish had an SR ! )
