Couldn't quite beleive the size of the new Yamaha 350 V8. Massive! Here is my mate Martin modelling it for us!

My God - I knew they were huge but......

Those Yams are totally pointless - they also do a 300hp version same size and weight - insane!!! As it is a 5.3L V8 why couldn't they have gone the other way and made it a 400 or even 500hp - it might be worth having then.

A man with the 350 Yam said it uses 35 gals an hour that real world figures
hows that for a carbon foot print.

Yes Roy I can confirm that figure However that was at full throttle (& 50 knts) & lets be honest - how often do we run a boat at full throttle? Like all engines if you run at say 75% full throttle the consumption figures drop dramatically.

Having said that my personal opinion is that a lighter 300 hp V6 engine will do the job just as well for 99.9% of the time.
