FB design

Charles,
I would have thought a new Techno 42 could be as much as 250K,
10.3 biturbo seatek's+gearbox's+trimax drives these bits alone would run in at 140K or more, maybe 150,
then an exotic 42' kevlar/balsa boat from FB, say 75-80K, +carbon fibre FB design tabs and loads of fancy rigging and gadgets, soon adds up!
I have to say though, if my numbers came up tomorow, I'd be straight off to como to order me an FB 55 triple seatek missile (I'd have the hardboat version of course LOL) bugger the cost, nice to dream innit.

more stunning pics Charles shame about my probs tho, spent all of an hour on the water and the sun wasn't even shining that bright at 8am But you guys really have to see this boat in the flesh, she is stunning!!!

Also Chalres is your colleague Paul Lemmer of BWM ribs fame, because not only did I have over-heating problems yesterday the Hard Disk on my laptop died, and as such I cannot access my e-mails in which I had his contact details. If any one has his contact details please send them to leedare@jerseymail.co.uk because I need to speak to him. Thank You

Am i correct in thinking that if your the owner of a large business (or such like) and have a large bank balance you are better having that tied up as an asset (such as an expensive boat) due to Txation purposes as oppossed to sitting there? Which could explain Mr Lemmer's nice rib. Or am I way off the point?

Does anyone know if Fabio Buzzi has a website?
I must tend towards JF on this pricing of the Techno 42. If that spec. of boat "only" cost £160k, I would expect to see at least half a dozen in UK waters. For example the new Scorpion 10m with twin Yanmar 300s is about that price and the Buzzi spec. is A LOT higher, isn't it?

cabin rib

We have the moulds for this cabin rib, it was originally manufactured by a company called ocean adventure marine a few years ago, a lot of time and money went in to the tooling and the result was a quite good looking boat. If there's any interest, let me know.

What happened to Ocean Adventure Marine? Did they go bust?

sorry, i don't have any more pics on my home computer, this boat was first developed three years ago, i think all attempts at the cabin rib idea look remarkably similar. This one has a slightly more realistic price tag!!!

Hi ribraff

Tubes yes (PVC preffered as believe 40% cheaper than hypalon and easier to repair). No underfloor tank.

Thanks

cabin rib

Hi Manos

O.K., we can supply you with one of these boats without the fittings for £19500. This would include the following:

Transom splashwell mould and rear bench seat (suitable for outboard application)
Full cabin moulding with integral helm and passenger console.
Taylor made wrap around screen
5 chamber Hypalon/Neoprene collar in choice of colour. (sorry, we dont work with P.V.C.!
All appropriate tube fittings

I hope that this is of some use to you. Please call me should you have any queries or would like some more photos.

Regards

Ed
