Freelander with Ribeye S650

Here's our boat just after we recovered from the local slipway.

1.8L Freelander which does OK. Also used it to tow the boat from Dartmouth when we first bought it.

I've just gone through every page starting at #1. It's raining and almost blowing a gale outside, something to do with Hurricane Bill, apparently, so looking at all those photos of sun and sea has really brightened the day. Not actually owning a boat at the moment, I was interested to read various comments concerning towing vehicles as this will seriously affect what I eventually do buy as my FIAT Panda 1.3 diesel might be somewhat overwhelmed. My wife has a FIAT Stilo 1.4 3 -dr., so as you can see I am a little limited in choice of boat.

I've been made to feel very jealous by all the big vessels with twin Verados and the like but I really don't want to have to buy a bigger car. So, my options seem to be: Buy a 6 metre, or similar and leave it somewhere and pay storage and launching fees; or get something like a 5 mtr. and tow it.

What cheered me up though, is the number of people with small RIBs and modest engines who are just as proud as those with 8 mtrs. and twin engines. The pictures helped in that regard as well, so many thanks to all those who posted and their attitudes have made me sure that I'm on the right Forum.

Thanks again all.

Here is my A22 behind my 110. Still trying to work out which is worse on fuel! A22 has a 200hp with righting frame etc. The 110 has a 200tdi engine with a pto winch, front tow hitch and loads of other mods. The one on the roof is a Yam380s.
