Hi Luise!! Thanks! This is not Santorini but Cape Sounion (a little bay just 100 mtrs from my house). The weather has been great (so far!!).
Going to Santorini on the RIB next weekend and hopefully will get more photos on the way there and back (180+ miles in total)

Yes i did have a look at the exite range. (thats your boat) And Colin said it was pretty much a race boat that could fly through chop but it would be a hard ride at it struggles in a big swell.

Its not just that, the 575 has an enormous internal length for its size and i particulary like the full length storage channel, that will house the fuel tank, meaning we get access to it at a later date and enought room at the front and rear of the boat to take skis, wakeboard and a few dry bags.

Falcon have a right to boast, its probably the best enginered boat we've been to see so far.

A-frame - much smaller height wise than all other boat builders, means i can fit it under my parents garage, also its bolted down into the hull and has a towing pole on the very top for skiing/wakeboarding.

seating - Drivers bench seat has a hinged backrest. Such a simple idea but it means you can anchor up andflick the backrest over and sit facing backwards talking to people in the back.
The rear seats backrest is attached to the a-frame and is height adjustable and removable. Rear seat is hinged and flips up to reveal access hatches to the bilge at the back.

I could go on, its a very very well thought about boat. Anyone thinking of a new boat go and see Falcon/ rib-x.

Simmons

So what are you going for this time on the back ??

Am surprised at having a bench seat and not jockies for the driver.

Have you got a quote yet and how those it compare to the prosport which was around the 13k mark I think

Paul

I understand what you say Simmon. I wanted seats with side supports on mine hence the middle seat has a fixed back rather than the removable. The rear seat on mine comes completely off if you wan to race the boat and the A-frame too.

I don't think that my boat gives a hard ride on a swell. However, I haven't been at sea state more than 1.5-2 mtr high waves. There I could do 30 knots and it was relatively comfortable. The trick with my boat is to keep it on the plane at all times otherwise the ride is harsh. On the plane you get no spray on the deck and it flyies.

But any way hope to see you in Les Arc so we can chat about the boats and skiing LOL

Falcon don't make jockeys. Rib-x do but they are an expensive option only available with the wider console, also an expenisive option. Ive given a lot of thought to it and ribeye have pretty well stopped jockeys as have zodiac on most of their ribs.

Going to have a suzuki 115.

As for the prosport Jasons 13k was excluding VAT, and at the time of order he decided the price was infact 14500 ex VAT.
Thats 17k for a boat that was not finished to the same standard as a Falcon.

There was a 5 month old prosport 8.5m in the rib-x unit and it was a mess. Does anyone know who's it is?

I was told it gave a very very good ride in 1 metre chop.
In a big swell it is not possible to plane all the time and that is where a race boat suffers from a hull meant to go very fast.

Paul it all depends on the opions you have on it. In general all Falcon boats are priced VERY competitively! Pitty they don't make anything over 7 mtrs (hint, hint, hint!!).

I KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING!

He wants 17500 for the falcon.

its not the prosport that had the crash, that was a 9 metre.

This one is an example of friday afternoon workmanship. I wont go into any more detail because it will cause a lot of trouble.
