Sorry but I do not do any fishing from my rib. Perhaps some fellow ribnet member can help. That particular fishing trip was on my ex-demo rib which is now in Iceland and I was only checking her out
New owner thrilled to bits cos gets to the fish much quicker then his mates

I have seen a rod holders mounted to the aluminum arches, to the side of the center consoles, and attached to rails just inside the tubes.

My RIB actually has a dual freq fish finder, and 10 gal aerated bank tank, so I'll be trying it. I plan on using it for fishing near Vancouver, so I'll probably be rigging some down riggers on there somewhere to go for salmon. I was actually thinking of rigging a temporary thing that holds two downriggers (1 ea. side) and sticks out past the tubes. Probably a 2x8x10' with clamps to the back rails. If I get around to it in the spring, I'll post some pics.

I currently do a lot of fishing off my Zodiac Grand Raid both lakes & sea, though a rib has more options. I'll post pics of my custom rod holders and downrigger mount after my next fishing trip.

I like this topic! Anyone else have some ideas on rigging a rib for fishing?

Fishing in surf

I've enjoyed watching posted videos of RIBS of all types. Thanks to all! Is it feasible for someone to operate a small RIB , ie
SR4 in a manner similar to the Zap Cats I have seen in the surf on video? I don't plan on trying it without some training at any rate. Sure would be great if someone would conduct powerboats classes here in the Carolinas. I would sign up. Anyone else interested?
