Army Adventure Training....bit of fun!

Had use of a RIB for a week so took lads out in it with a swap-over at lunchtime with a fishing boat.
Lesson learnt for those on the fishing boat who thought they could stay dry!
Was off Weymouth...

I've been on this and it's bloody fast! The 2 that preceded it were pretty special as well, in fact I had them stored literally in a shed at my work for a bit!

Well we went out, apart from bitterly cold (even down to removing thick ice from the boat before hand) we had a good day. Sea state was surprisingly calm in certain areas.

Yes it was. Earlier on it was good conditions, but after a bit of lunch in Cowes the conditions definitly got a bit choppy. Back out on the 7th with some other soldiers.

I hired a 7.8 Ribcraft (bareboat) for £500+ after vat and fuel at end of day. Quite reasonable considering it was brand new, fully kitted out and letting me play with it!!

I have 2 wave piercing boats in a storage shed at my work. Suffice to say big (16m+) and fast (x2 750hp) and they go through the waves at speed, but surely these RIB versions loose that advantage...
