Which 4m RIB for £5000?

I will soon be looking to buy a s/h rib around the 4m size.
Ideally I am looking for an Avon Searider with a Yamaha40/50hp.
Looking at the boats available it will probably be about 10yrs old.
Any advice as to what to look for?
Cheers
Nick

I'm just up the road from you if you want to have a look at an sr4 to make sure its going to be suitable for you there's not a lot of room in them doesn't bother me as I use it for fishing with only 2 aboard but if your planning on taking family friends children ect you may need something a little larger

Work out what you want a boat for, how many and the preferred layout. Then decide.

Having a boat that is the wrong lay out for the use is a waste of time, effort and cash as you'll soon stop using her.

Once you know what you want to do, and with whom, then look at what's out there.

For instance, I had a zodiac 500 that was great for two of us, yet add the two kids on board and it was a nightmare in anything other than a flat poodle about.

Thanks a lot for your offer but I have had an sr4 in the past and it was great.
Went all around the west coast of Scotland on it.
I will be just really using it for a bit of fishing and pootling up some sea lochs
and having had a Humber 7m ocean pro I am looking for something handy to tow/launch [and a lot cheaper!].
I will be looking to buy something around June time.
Nick
