Weighted Anchor Rope

Hi All,

Hope youre all managing and staying healthy in these challenging times. I am hopeful we will get out on the water at some point and hopefully the sun will shine for a glorious British Summer :-)

I am going to replace the main anchor on OCHI II this year. 8m Humber Ocean Pro RIB.

I am considering going with a weighted Anchor Rope as this would make it easier to A) Set the anchor and B) retrieve the anchor without damaging the tubes.

Has anyone tried this?

I have an 8m RIB and considering the 8KG one to use with a circa 8KG Stainless Bruce Anchor - Our Use is generally in the Solent and in Summer the west of Ireland (Where we carry extra chain etc and generally a second anchor).

Thoughts and comments all appreciated.

Best

Jonathan
