The price of Zodiac ribs !!!!

As my 6 m valiant is for sale due to my wife thinking it looks like a police or customs rib http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/F94636/
we looked at Zodiac (girly) ribs. We had a pro open 550 before and liked it, but after the valiant they just look wrong . The valiant has eight jockey seats and handles a big sea very well, but I have concerns about the 6.5m zodiac seating..... it seems a little too mediteraenian (suitable for flat sea) for me. ANd then the price £19000 sterling for a 2003 model ! Any help here people please ?

We have a pro 12, not sure where the ''girly'' bit is on the zodiacs, its a good boat, weve been out in it happily at force 7. But because its not a deep V it can be a bit bouncy in chop, this would be helped by jokey seats. Still, cant have everything and we got a very good deal, (brand new). Yes i agree the med range dosent look very offsore, id go the valliant if your doing more serious ribbing. Just my observation though, there are people on here with meds, see what they say about how it takes the waves ect.

Hi Alex,
My girly comment was not meant to offend. We had a pro open 550 before and loved it. I like the way the tubes slide off... we used that a few times....

Not offended by any means

Not tried the removeable tubes yet, will probably only remove them in the winter

Have a look at the Avon 620 - reasonably capable in a chop but quite pretty!!!

65 knots from a 175 - not a chance!

Maybe close on an OCR boat or something?
